How do I get to Koh Tao?

There are several options from Bangkok, Koh Samui, Chumphon or Surat Thani, usually involving a ferry from Koh Samui or Chumphon. We have a blog article explaining everything :-) https://www.aquatao.fr/blog/comment-venir-jusqu-a-koh-tao/

Do you have accommodation recommendations near the dive center?

Booking & Cancellation

How do I book a course or a dive?

Simply fill out our online booking form. If the calendar does not show a date that works for you, please contact us directly. During high season, a 30% deposit is required to secure your spot. This helps us to organize our activities and ensure the best possible service.

What are your cancellation policies?

At AQUATAO, we do our best to remain flexible and understanding.

Cancellation at least 5 days before the activity:
Your deposit is fully refunded, except any potential payment transaction fees.

Cancellation less than 5 days before the activity:
The deposit is non-refundable, but when possible we can reschedule your activity depending on availability.

How do refunds work?

If cancelled within the allowed timeframe (minimum 5 days before the activity), the deposit is fully refunded minus any banking fees.

If the cancellation occurs beyond this delay, the refund depends on the specifics of the booked activity. In some cases, we can reschedule according to availability.

Equipment & Shop

Do you sell diving equipment?

Yes, we sell snorkeling and scuba gear, both new and second-hand, suitable for beginners and experienced divers.

Diving & Supervision

Do you offer diving for children?

Yes, at AQUATAO we welcome children from 8 years old to discover scuba diving safely.

We provide equipment specially adapted to their size and comfort.

Between 8 and 10 years old, they can participate in a supervised introductory dive limited to 5 meters depth, with the possibility of one or two dives depending on comfort levels.
From 10 years old, they can complete a standard trial dive, gradually increasing depth up to 12 meters under the supervision of an experienced instructor.

Which course is recommended for beginners?

If you have never dived before, we recommend a Try Dive. It’s a perfect first experience to discover scuba sensations safely and understand the basics.

If you feel ready, you can also start directly with the Open Water course – there is no restriction.

Do you organize special trips, such as wreck dives or Sail Rock?

Yes! We love to vary dive sites to offer fresh and exciting experiences.

We regularly dive the wrecks HTMS Sattakut and HTMS Suphairin, accessible from Advanced Open Water level.

We also organize day trips to Sail Rock, one of the most beautiful sites in the Gulf of Thailand, usually once a week depending on weather.

Conditions & Safety

Do I need to be athletic to dive?

No, you simply need to be in general good health. We recommend consulting a doctor before practicing the activity. Outside Europe, you must complete the SSI medical questionnaire, which determines whether a medical certificate is required.

What should I bring?

Just a swimsuit, towel, and good vibes — we provide everything else.
