What Is the Divemaster Course?

The SSI Divemaster is your first step into professional scuba diving. Over 4 to 6 weeks, you will learn to become a dive guide, capable of leading certified divers and snorkeling groups safely.

How long does the Divemaster course take?

The training usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your availability, experience, and progress. You will be fully immersed in the daily life of a real dive center.

How many dives do I need to start the Divemaster course?

You must have at least 40 logged dives to begin and a minimum of 60 dives to complete the certification and work as a Divemaster.

What will I be able to do after becoming a Divemaster?

You will be qualified to guide certified divers, lead snorkeling activities, assist instructors during courses, and apply for your first job in the diving industry.

Is this course suitable for people who want to work in diving?
