AquaTao: Koh Tao Better Together

KOH TAO - BETTER TOGETHER

Comme de nombreux pays, de nombreuses îles, Koh Tao souffre de l'impact du Covid 19 et notamment le tourisme. En effet, cette île de la tortue, connue mondialement pour son activité première, LA PLONGEE.

Les bateaux et activités annexes sont à l'arrêt, de nombreuses personnes ne travaillent plus ... D'après le PNUD Thaïlande, 90% des petites et moyennes entreprises sont fermées.

Pour agir face à cette situation, BIOFIN (the biodiversity finance initiative) lance le projet: " Koh Tao, Better Together".

 

  

 

Les objectifs :

  • aider 200 exploitants de bateaux
  • trouver des opportunités d'emploi à court terme
  • apporter une aide aux habitants locaux
  • ramasser les déchets en mer et sur les plages 

SOLIDARTITE humaine et naturelle, entretenir la beauté de Koh Tao a toujours été un objectif que tous. Koh Tao est une île très belle remplie de belles ressources naturelles. De nombreux poissons, de belles plages, un environnement très agréable à vivre et à découvrir, il en va de notre devoir de protéger cette île que nous aimons et que les touristes étrangers du monde entier aiment visiter.

KOH TAO - BETTER TOGETHER

Like many countries, islands, Koh Tao is suffering from the Covid 19 impact and especially the tourism. Indeed, the Turtle Island is known worlwide for its first activity, DIVING.

Boats and ancillary activities stopped, many people are no longer working. According to PNUD Thaïland, 90% of small and medium firms are closed. In order to face the situation, BIOFIN (The Biodiversity finance Initiative) launched the project : « Koh Tao, Better Together ».

Goals of the project : 

  • help 200 boats operators
  • find short-term employment opportunities
  • provide assistance to locals
  • collect litter on beaches and in the sea

 

Humain and natural solidarity, maintaining the beauty of Koh Tao, has always been a goal for all of us. Koh Tao is beautiful island, full of wonderful natural ressources. Lots of fish, wonderful beaches, it is our duty to protect our island that we love et that the foreign tourists love to visit.
